In recent years,with the boom of Internet technology and the expansion of mobile networks,the Internet-based living service industry has experienced a situation from birth to burst.The traditional food,clothing,and housing industries,which existed in offline services for many years,have now evolved into a new business model based on the Internet and big data technology in the latest wave of Internet technology,and Internet life service companies have also followed suit.Among them,the most typical representative is the Internet Ride-Hailing Service industry.In the traditional taxi business mode,when users take taxi service,the user and the drivers usually do not know each other and the user’s interaction with the taxi service provider starts from the on-board and ends at the drop-off.After the birth of Internet Ride-Hailing Service,this typical low-information based,low-interaction,low-recognition,pure transportation service was replaced by a new Internet business model.In the new Internet Ride-Hailing service model,the company platform connects background big data analysis technology with the client application on users’ cellphone,so that it can collect and process the data of the customer and the driver before,during and even after the service.In addition,the users and drivers are now pre-screened and matched to improve service efficiency.In this service process,the most important feature is that the Internet Ride-Hailing Service Company collects and tracks the information of users and drivers constantly and often expand the use of the data for additional activities.Due to the natural of these personal information collected above,it can be used not only by the Internet Ride-Hailing company to improve its own taxi service,but also be used for other Internet-related life services,such as advertising,social media and so on.This change exposes users to a greater risk of privacy leak and improper use of personal data.Under this trend,ordinary users are increasingly worried about the Internet Ride-Hailing Company and questioning the necessity of data collecting activities.The facts in recent years also prove that due to the lack of universal standards and supervisions for the use of personal privacy data of users,disputes and cases caused by the improper use of users’ personal information by the Internet Ride-Hailing service companies frequently occur,and even several extremely serious criminal cases are induced.Such cases soon caused serious social disputes and public anxiety on the Internet Ride-Hailing service companies and even led the society to question the existence of the emerging internet-based industry.Hence,how to improve the model of users’ privacy information management for companies that combine cutting-edge Internet technologies with traditional daily life services,such as the Internet Ride-Hailing service,and to eliminate the public’s doubts about the emerging Internet service industry,and to meet the regulator’s new legal requirements and regulations are of great significance for the future development of internet-based living service industries,especially the Internet Ride-Hailing industry.This constitutes the starting point of this research paper.Based on the above reasons,this paper attempts to find a comparable and operable reference for the privacy management framework to the Internet Ride-Hailing service platform based on the various privacy management theories and practices.This paper analyzes the challenges faced by public users’ personal data and the public’s requirements,clarifies the focuses of the public on the use of personal privacy data and the relationship between the data management model and the business model of Internet Ride-Hailing service platforms.At the same time,this paper also focuses on the “Private-By-Design”(PbD)standard,which is the most advanced privacy management model developed by the international Internet communication technology industry community GMSA,and applies it to the largest and the most advanced Internet Ride-Hailing service platform in China——“DiDi”.By the comparison of the privacy management model of the domestic leading Internet Ride-Hailing service company with the international advanced management framework,the paper will analysis the shortcomings of the domestic privacy management model and shows the similarities and differences between the domestic and international privacy management model.Based on these findings,the paper provides an international-theoretical based reference for the continuous future development and improvement of user privacy management framework of Internet Ride-Hailing service companies to some extent.
