The "Occupy Wall Street movement" that took place in the United States in September 2011 has drawn great attention from the United States and the world. However, the mainstream media in the United States did not follow the trend of journalism professionalism. The media reports were influenced by the privileged class of the United States and implemented a typical "frame" spread. The academic community has some research on this, but it lacks a systematic analytical framework and quantitative research. This paper attempts to use the "framing" theory to reveal the process and its roots through text and quantitative analysis. The full text is divided into four parts: the introduction part, mainly expounds the meaning of the topic, the research status at home and abroad, the main content and basic ideas, the main innovations and research methods;the first chapter mainly introduces the "framing" theory in political communication. In this theory, the formation process of the "frame" is influenced by four subjects, namely, the administrative subject, the non-administrative elite, the media and the public. At the same time, the four variables of motivation, cultural consistency, power and strategy determine the popularity of the "frame";The second chapter will analyze the different media coverage of the "Occupy Wall Street Movement" by the US media. This chapter will use text analysis and data analysis to discuss different news "frame" and its transformation content. The third chapter mainly analyzes The reason why the US media has different reports on the "Occupy Wall Street Movement" "frame".First, analyze the political nature of the movement itself, including the challenge to the American elite and the sway of the mainstream American ideology. Then, according to the "framing" theory of Entman,it analyzes the way the US government influences the "frame" of the news media.Overall, this paper argues that when the US media reported on the occupation of the Wall Street Movement,it was influenced by the White House, from the "frame" of the economic theme that originally embodied the essence of the movement to the conflict theme of the later violent confrontation "frame".The motivation of the White House and other administrative subjects to influence media reports is to reduce the negative impact of the occupation of the Wall Street Movement on the government. For a long time, the US media has been flaunted by independence, freedom, and objectivity. In fact, whenever such protests occur in American society, the content of media coverage by the media will beaffected by the media's public relations activities.News media reports are deeply influenced by political factors, and the media and the government have complex interactions.
