Arms sales to Taiwan is the core content for U.S. to involve the Taiwan issue; it isan important symbol that the United States recognizes Taiwan as an independentpolitical entity, which is also the main way for it to interfere in internal affairs ofChina. China and the United Stated has established the diplomatic relations in1979,however, the U.S. still insists on arms sales to Taiwan according to the TaiwanRelation Act in spite of its promise that it will observe the three joint communiqués.Since Barack Obama assuming power, the relation between China and U.S. hasmaintained a good momentum. Affected by many factors,the United States will adhere to the arms sales to Taiwan for a long time in the comingperiod.
