Study On Social Justice From The Perspective Of A Better Life

The pursuit of a better life is the eternal theme and goal of human beings and the Chinese and foreign scholars have been discussing and studying the topic of a better life.The report of the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China points out that the major social contradictions in China have changed,and the people's yearning for a better life highly summarizes the people's pursuit of a higher life goal.Although China has made remarkable progress in economy,science and technology,national defense and overall national strength,the problem of unbalanced development still exists,which is mainly manifested in poverty alleviation,educational resources,residents' income distribution,social security system and other aspects.Therefore,it is particularly important to solve the unbalanced development.In this paper,we study a better life under the view of social justice problem,which is a problem with philosophical perspective to explore in sociology,political science,broadening the research field of the sociology in social justice,as well as the study of the current principal contradiction and the basic social contradiction is the very good supplement.Therefore,based on the background that China has entered a new era,this paper uses the historical materialism of Marxism and the research methods of sociology and politics to analyze the current situation of social injustice and its causes,and tries to explore the path to achieve a just society.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part elaborates the connotation of a better life and social justice and its theoretical sources,analyzing the relationship between the good life and happiness and characteristics of the connotation of the good life,combeding the Chinese and western and Marx and Engels' thought of social justice and analyzing the inner relationship of a better life and social justice,discussing the value appeal of social justice from the perspective of better life.The second part demonstrates the current situation of social justice.At present,the implementation of social justice is confronted with a series of problems,such as the arduous task of poverty alleviation,the unfair cultural and educational resources,the large gap in income distribution between urban and rural residents,and many difficulties in the social security system.The third part analyzes the reasons.The lack of "taking targeted measures" in poverty alleviation,the imbalance of educational resources,and the gap between the rich and the poor are the reasons of educational injustice.Urban-rural dual structure,regional development policy tilt,market mechanism and industry monopoly are the causes of unfair income distribution.The uneven medical resources,the increase of urban population,and the shortage of housing supply are the reasons why the social security system cannot reflect social justice.The fourth part is to respond to the current situation and propose corresponding countermeasures.First,measures are taken as bellow to supplement the poverty gap in social development to win the fight against poverty.Accurate identification,laying the foundation for accurate poverty alleviation;Precise planning,strengthening the correct guidance of industrial support;Accurate assistance,enhancing the endogenous motivation of poor households.Second,measures should be taken as bellow to rationally optimize educational resources and share fair education.Increasing investment in education and achieving balanced development of education;Ensuring fair access to education through the establishment of compensation mechanisms for vulnerable groups;Narrowing the gap between urban and rural education and improve the level of rural education development.Third,measures are taken as bellow to narrow the gap between urban and rural development and income distribution.Breaking urban and rural barriers and promoting free movement of labor;Promoting coordinated regional development and constantly narrowing regional differences;Continuously improving the market mechanism,breaking the monopoly of the industry and narrowing the income gap between industries.Fourth,the construction of the social security system is constantly improved as bellow to promote the sharing of development results for all the people.Gradually expanding the coverage of rural social security and improving the input of rural social security funds;Improving the low-rent housing security system and using laws and regulations to control the real estate market;Improving the medical level of primary hospitals and simplify medical procedures.
