With the development of society,more and more people begin to raise pets,but pets are not an ordinary property.Owners always put lots of emotions into their pets.The management and protection of pets become a topic of much concern with the increasing number of pets.The arrival of pet age requires the state and the government to formulate corresponding legal systems to solve the problems that may arise in the pet-raising process so as to achieve the purpose of maintaining social order.Pet-raising is a close relationship between the owner and the pet which will also cause an inevitable social contact with the outside.If pets lost carelessly,the owners and the finders more likely to have a series of disputes.For example,whether the finders have the duty to look after the pet and to compensate the owners for certain lost if the duty is not fulfilled.Whether the finders have the obligation to return the pet to the original owner and to claim remuneration.When the pet is seriously injured due to the fault of the finders,what rights can the owners claim to compensate for the loss.This paper will analyze the shortcomings of the legal relationship and legislation on the lost dog incident appealing much concern that cause disputes between the finders and the owners.Meanwhile,put forward suggestions to help the law better adapt to the current social reality and solve social contradictions.The paper mainly includes three chapters: Chapter one takes the typical social events as an example to analyze the controversial issues that may be encountered in the process of pet recovery,so as to prepare for the further discussion on certain issues.Chapter two specifically analyses the status of pets in civil legal relations and the attributes and affiliations of lost pets as well as the relief methods that the owners can take after the pets are infringed illegally by the finders.Chapter three puts forward reasonable suggestions on the legal issues related to the process of pet recovery and calls for the improvement of relevant laws and regulations in order to adapt to the arrival of the pet era.
