Study Of The Problem And Suggestions For The Public Participation In City Management

At present,China's urbanization rate has exceeded 59.5%,entering the stage of urban social development,people-oriented,intensive,intelligent,low-carbon,convenient and other has become a new development demand.It is undeniable that China's urbanization has achieved good results,and Chinese cities are welcoming more and more residents.This undoubtedly poses new challenges to China's urban management.Facing more and more diversified demands of citizens and more complex urban governance environment in cities,it is difficult to satisfy the citizens by relying solely on government forces for urban management and services.Therefore,it is necessary to give full play to the advantages of multi-governance in urban management.Citizens are the masters of the city,the beneficiaries of urban management and the participants of urban management.In the new era of governance,how the public participate in urban management is worth studying.Taking Jiulongpo District of Chongqing as an example,this paper briefly introduces the current situation of urban management,and chooses three kinds of software: telephone communication,e-mail and network,mainly relying on the public participation in urban management mode of information and communication technology and online network,to analyze the current situation of public participation in urban management in Jiulongpo.Overall,the enthusiasm of public participation has increased in recent years,but there are still some problems,such as relatively single mode of public participation,inadequate depth of public participation,inadequate disclosure of government information,lack of institutional construction and public initiative to be improved.Starting from the perspective of attribution,this paper analyses the motivation of participants and why the public participates in urban management,so as to analyze the types of public participation according to the different motivations and the problems of public participation in Jiulongpo.This is helpful for the following text according to the model,combining with the current situation and problems of public participation in Jiulongpo District,so as to put forward pertinent suggestions to solve the problem of public participation in urban management in Jiulongpo District and optimize urban management.
