The Evaluation Tool Construction And Empirical Study Of Socialist Core Values Social Orientation

The sixth Plenary session of the 16 th CPC Central Committee put forward the call to construct the "socialist core values system" in October,2006.In November,2012,the report of the 18 th CPC National Congress made clear the basic connotation of the "socialist core values" for the first time,which comprised prosperity,democracy,civilization,harmony,freedom,equality,justice,rule of law,as well as patriotism,dedication,integrity and friendship.The report uses 24 words to define the basic connotation of "socialist core values" from the three levels--nation,society and citizens.In his report to the 19 th CPC National Congress on October 18,2017,Xi Jinping pointed out that it is necessary to actively cultivate and implement "socialist core values",integrate them into all aspects of social development,and translate them into people's emotional identity and behavior habits.Since 2012,refining the concise and easy-to-understand theory of socialist core values has been the focus of research.The results of literature statistics show that although a large number of achievements on socialist core values have been publicly published every year since the 18 th CPC National Congress,empirical and applied studies are quite scarce,with the phenomenon that there are too many theoretical studies and too less applied studies.In order to respond positively to the call of the 19 th CPC National Congress and make a fundamental contribution to practice and cultivate the "socialist core values" better,this paper systematically,comprehensively and scientifically compiles the evaluation tools at the social level of the socialist core values,combining with the research methods of psychology.According to the basic connotation of "socialist core values" in the report of the 18 th National Congress,Professor Wang Xiaojun proposed the "operational theoretical system model of socialist core values",the model can be divided into three 2-order 4-factor models,namely,the structure model of the nation-oriented socialist core values,the structure model of the social-oriented socialist core values,and the structure model of the civil-oriented socialist core values.This study only focuses on the social orientation.First of all,based on the existing theoretical system of socialist core values,this study reconstructed the theoretical framework of social level from the perspective of "value orientation" in psychology.On the basis of the original 2-order 4-factor model,the "orientation dimension evaluation layer" was added,and the value orientation of each factor was evaluated from the three aspects of "cognitive evaluation","emotional experience" and "behavior tendency".As a result,the three-level theoretical structure was constructed,in which the first layer was "social orientation" layer,the second layer was the "factor orientation" layer,and the third layer was "orientation dimension evaluation".Then on the basis of consulting a large number of documents and consulting experts,the connotation of each factor was extracted,and the operational definitions of freedom,equality,justice and rule of law were compiled by using the newly constructed theoretical system.Then,according to the operational definition,the initial Scale of Social orientation of Socialist Core Values was compiled one by one.The total number of items in the initial scale was 429,and the number of items in each factor is basically balanced.1420 valid data were collected by a sample survey of university students in more than ten provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions.After item analysis and factor analysis,four factors were selected and the items of the initial scale were screened repeatedly.Finally the formal questionnaire containing 52 items was determined,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 40.96%.Where after with the formalized questionnaire finished,763 college students were tested by random sampling method.The results of data analysis showed that the internal consistency ? coefficient of the scale was 0.87.The subsequent confirmatory factor analysis proved the 2-order 4-factor model of the scale of Social orientation of Socialist Core values.The results show that the model is good.Afterwards,the validity of calibration was studied.In this study,"Free Will Scale","Social Fairness Scale","Just World Belief Scale" and "Self-control Perception Scale" were selected as the four subscales of Social Orientation Scale of Socialist Core Values respectively(freedom view,the calibration criterion of equality view,justice view and rule of law view).The result of correlation validity analysis showed that there was significant positive correlation between calibration criterion and each subscale,which proved the validity and accuracy of the Social Orientation Scale of Socialist Core Values.Finally,the real-life resource allocation scenario was simulated,and the "circle test" program was compiled with e-prime to evaluate the empirical validity of the scale.It was found that there was a significant difference between the groups with higher scores and those with lower scores in the Social orientation Scale of Socialist Core Values for different money allocation schemes.High-score-group showed obvious characteristics of "pro-social value orientation" while low-score-group showed obvious "personal value orientation".Therefore,the Social Orientation Scale of Socialist Core Values can distinguish the individual value tendency in real life commendably.Through a series of studies,this paper develops an evaluation tool of social orientation values of socialist core values with good reliability and validity.The scale includes four subscales: freedom,equality,justice and rule of law.The development of the scale is expected to contribute to the practice and cultivation of socialist core values in the future.
