Geopolitical theory has been one of the theoretical bases for guiding a country to conduct strategic competition and benefit expansion since its emergence.Geopolitical theory not only makes foreign strategy for a country, but also neglects to analyze the national conditions of the country at the same time, the theory of geopolitics has become one of the theoretical bases for the expansion of interests. The disconnect between practice and theory often makes it difficult for countries that rely on the theory to customize their foreign strategies to succeed. Therefore, the analysis of a country's national conditions and geograph ical influence is the primary prerequisite for the realization of its foreign strate gy.As emerging developing powers after the end of the Cold War,China and India play an important role in the change of regional geographical structure within the scope of their own "radiation",while both sides play an important role in the Asian region. The development of integration also has considerable contribution potential.Due to special political history, border issues, strategic mutual trust and other reasons, the relationship between China and India has been in a sensitive and complex state for a long time.Based on Strange's theory of structural power and referring to Strange's theory of structural power in inter national political economics, this paper constructs an evaluation system of national structural power and its quantitative measurement method. On this basis, using the relevant statistical data, this paper quantitatively measures the structural power and its evolution of China and India since the end of the Cold War,and gives the size of the structural power of China and India in Southeast Asian countries. And its evolution is compared and analyzed.Through comparative analysis, this paper draws the following conclusions: first, from the perspective of structural power,China as a whole has more structural power than India, and at the same time,China's structural power in Southeast Asia is also greater than that of India over Southeast Asia. This gap is also becoming more and more obvious;Second, the contribution of each factor in the structural power of China and India is different.China's contribution to the geographical influence of Southeast Asian countries is the largest is the economic and production structure, while India is the financial structure;Third, the frequency and depth of structural power to strengthen strategic interaction between China and India in Southeast Asia However, due to India's unilateral subjective strategic intention, the strategic interaction between China and India in Southeast Asia is more strategic competition.Fourthly, based on the analysis of the elements of structural power between China and India, although there is strong strategic competiti on between China and India, there is also a great potential for cooperation between China and India. Finally, this paper proposes a path to strengthen China-India cooperation and regional strategic cooperation.
