A Reaserch On The Values Of The Left Behind Youth

In China,the problem of left behind children has a long history.With the growth of time,left behind children grow into adults with left behind experience and enter the post left behind period.Different from the left behind children who are widely concerned by the society,there are few and scattered researches on the values of these left behind youth,and there is no systematic research.The left behind youth are also the main builders of the society.Their values represent the reflection of the social development.It is very important to study the development trend of their values.This study mainly starts from the current situation of the values of the left behind youth,compares the values of the three left behind youth groups,namely,the college students,the new generation of migrant workers and the rural youth,analyzes the current problems and causes of their values,and then puts forward the values cultivation and guidance measures based on the actual situation.The research objects of this paper come from all over the country,among which Sichuan,Yunnan,Guizhou and Chongqing are the most.The questionnaire mainly uses Professor Huang Xiting's revised version of Rokeach's values questionnaire to investigate and study the ultimate values and instrumental values of three groups of left behind youth.The two values systems contain 18 value items respectively,which are tested from four aspects of individual,society,morality and competition.Finally,the data are collected and analyzed.The results of this study show that: the values of the left behind college students are positive as a whole,the national security awareness is high,but the behavior literacy is ignored,the value orientation is more realistic;the left behind new generation of migrant workers attach importance to family,political participation is strong,and personal literacy is enhanced,but the interpersonal concept outside the family is weak,the value orientation is more practical,and the moral value is ignored The young people who continue to stay in rural areashave strong personal awareness,pay attention to the improvement of self-cultivation such as bravery and ability,and value family safety,but their collective awareness is weak and their self-control is poor.The problem of the values of the left behind youth is not caused by one-sided reasons,but the result of the common influence of many factors.It needs to be coordinated from the government,society,family,school and themselves,so as to help the three groups of left behind youth establish correct values and develop actively and healthily.
