In the Warring States period,China was a time of great strife,in which all people who had courage and uprightness had fighting mind.The economic,political and cultural development of each vassal state is rapid,and vassal states made frequent merger wars.Strength determineed status,and the law of jungle is the law of survival.In order to gain a dominant position in the competition,all countries changed their regimes to become stronger.Both Qin and Zhao were poor and weak in the early Warring States period,and the country was facing serious survival crisis.At the same time,the national structure of the two countries was complex,deeply influenced by the custom of Rongdi.The people advocated force and war,and valued utility over ethics.Facing the same domestic and international environment,Qin and Zhao took different measures.The state of Qin put Shang Yang in charge of the reform and reform,insisted on the rule of vertical law,made profit coming from one,and brought all the people into the track of agricultural and war through the mechanism of interest induction.As the reform of the Qin State conformed to the trend of the times,and its reform is the most thorough,the Qin state quickly became the most powerful vassal state among the seven heroes of the Warring States.Under the pressure of survival,the rulers of Zhao had to reform and reform.On the other hand,they were influenced greatly by the patriarchal clan concept and confucianism,which made it difficult for the reform of Zhao state to be thorough.Reform was often a headache,a pain in the head,a pain in the foot,and a snake in the tail.It is impossible to eliminate the remains of slavery.The different ideas of reform of the rulers of Qin and Zhao determined the final historical trend of the two countries.This article will analyze the great influence of different reform ideas on the effect of the reform from the aspects of economy and legal system construction.
