At present, multilateralism as a method of behavior is welcomed by more and more countries in the international community, and has become a more reasonable way of institutional cooperation.International organizations and international mechanisms largely represent institutional cooperation among nations. With the development of the times,we can see that international organizations play an important role in various fields at all times, and play a role of the main international agent. As the two largest and most versatile multilateral international organizations in the world, the EU and the United Nations have both undergone their own development and changes, and are facing changes in the global order and the challenges it brings. The European Union is a pioneer and supporter of multilateral cooperation and a global order based on international organizations and rules. It will support international cooperation through international organizations and international mechanisms. The United Nations,as a global multilateral international organization,There are many similarities in the philosophy and development path of the EU,so the EU is more inclined to support and advance the UN's multilateral action. In the United Nations, the EU issued a joint statement and proposed related resolutions as a group and the whole, but this was also made after continuous negotiations within the EU,thus highlighting the EU's dual status in international organizations, which is that Actors involved in international organizations are also a platform for member states to express their interests and coordinate their interests. This article first explains the EU's participation in the United Nations at the theoretical level through the related international relations theory, and clarifies the basic direction of its analysis in the theoretical framework.Secondly, through the provisions of the Lisbon Treaty and the Charter of the United Nations to find the legal basis for EU participation in the United Nations, and on this basis, explore the EU's internal coordination and external representation mechanisms in the participation process, and clarify the formation of the EU in a complex international environrnent Work and decision-making bodies and participatory processes.Next, this article makes a simple assessment of EU participation performance by setting standards, and analyzes the EU 's achievements and problems in the main areas of participation. Finally, this article analyzes the factors that influence EU participation in the United Nations system, starting from the internal relations between European countries, the relations between member states, and external factors to find out the factors that affect the effectiveness of EU participation in United Nations affairs.Through analysis, this article concludes that the increasingly effective coordination mechanism established after the Lisbon Treaty and various beneficial attempts made by the European Union in the affairs of the United Nations have further strengthened the internal coordination of the European Union and increased its collectiveness in the United Nations The status of existence has a positive effect, and the importance of the EU as a collective in international organizations will obviously be a rising process. However, there are still many problems in this process, such as the standards and methods of interests and strategic considerations among member states, and the relative weakening of emerging powers and international organizations on the EU's position and influence in the multilateral system. The EU 's participation in the United Nations affairs in various fields has many shortcomings and problems, but there are also many success stories. This shows us a relatively new behavior model of international organizations. In a constantly changing international environment and in the context of globalization, the EU as a collective will not only become a way to enhance its international influence, but also provide a direction for international cooperation.
