Since the "indo-pacific" strategy was put forward by the trump administration in November 2017,thanks to the vigorous advocacy and promotion of the us government,India,Japan,Australia, asean and other countries and regional organizations have responded to it to varying degrees. The influence of the us "indo-pacific" strategy on the indo-pacific region has become increasingly prominent. The "indo-pacific" strategy will integrate the traditional Indian Ocean and the asia-pacific region geopolitically. On the one hand,it will make India's strategic position increasingly prominent. On the other hand, the "indo-pacific" strategy has a clear strategic intention to target China.China and India will be the pressure target and the target of the strategy, which will undoubtedly have an impact on the development of sino-indian relations. In the context of the "indo-pacific" strategy,India has frequently interacted with the United States,Japan,Australia and other countries. At the same time,India hopes to reduce China's expanding influence in the Indian Ocean region through the "One Belt And One Road" initiative by taking advantage of the "indo-pacific" strategy launched by the us.In addition, the security dilemma between China and India in the Indian Ocean has also posed certain challenges to the bilateral relations, which has deepened the strategic mutual suspicion between China and India. However,we should also note that under the influence of the us "indo-pacific" strategy,India still adheres to its independent diplomatic tradition, which makes the overall situation of china-india relations under control. At the same time,as the "indo-pacific" strategy of the United States has a natural weakness that focuses on politics rather than economy, economic and trade relations will become the cornerstone to stabilize china-india relations. This paper mainly studies the "indo-pacific" strategy of the United States and its possible impact and challenges on the development of china-india relations. The first chapter of this paper introduces the "indo-pacific" strategy of the United States, summarizes the development process of the "indo-pacific" from the geographical concept to the realistic strategy, and the background and objectives of the"indo-pacific" strategy, and introduces the main contents of the "indo-pacific" strategy from the political, military and economic aspects.Chapter two summarizes and analyzes the development of china-india relations in the new era from three dimensions: politics, economy and trade, and civil society. The third chapter expounds the challenges faced by China and India in the context of the Indo-Pacific" strategy of the United States, including the security dilemma in the Indian Ocean region, the interference of major powers outside the region and the challenges faced by the two countries in the traditional fields. The fourth chapter expounds the strategic measures that China can adopt in developing its relations with India, and puts forward some feasible measures from the three fields of politics, economy, trade and culture. In the short term, the continuous advancement of the us "indo-pacific" strategy may bring certain challenges to the development of china-india relations and increase the complexity of bilateral relations. However,in the long run,it is in the strategic interests of both China and India to maintain the steady development of bilateralrelations. At the same time, both China and India have a diplomatic tradition of adhering to strategic independence.Therefore,china-india relations will remain stable to some extent on the whole.which also requires the joint efforts of China and India.
