Egypt has always been an important country for the security interests of the United States,Because of its unique geographical location, population structure and diplomatic status.First of all, geography has always played an important role in Egypt. It is considered to be the secret of the country's uniqueness and power source. It is the junction of Africa,Asia and Europe, which promotes a broader geopolitical movement. From a geostrategic point of view,Egypt has the control of the Suez Canal, and 8% of the global shipping passes through the Suez Canal every year.Egypt accelerated the passage of U.S.Navy ships through the canal, providing a strategic advantage for the U.S.military to deploy operations from the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf to the Indian Ocean basin.Secondly,in terms of population,Egypt, with a population of more than 100 million,is by far the largest Arab country.Thirdly,Egyptian civilization and culture are considered to be one of the regional forces in the international system and the only power within the geographical and cultural regions of most Arab countries with the same origin. They use the same language, that is,Arabic and believe in the same religion as Islam. The Arab Spring has made Egypt's foreign policy clearly positioned. The most important challenge to truly lead Egypt's new regime is to build a new democracy.Azhar University considered to be the oldest university in existence, with highly symbolic.Due to the existence of Azhar University,Cairo has a strong soft power. For these reasons, not only the United States is aware of the importance of this country, but Cairo is also aware of the importance of the relations between the two countries. So,despite some remaining skepticism and caution,Egypt has managed to maintain relations with Washington.Western countries, especially the United States and the European Union, are critical and dissatisfied with their domestic political environment. But Washington needs allies to support its efforts in Iraq and the Islamic state threat to ISI.Therefore,in the view of the United States,Egypt's commitment in combating regional terrorist organizations is very important. The Arab Spring has become a huge driving force for Egypt's foreign policy system, which helps to eliminatethe traditional characteristics of successive regimes in the modern history of Egypt since the establishment of the first Republic and to some extent limits their development in foreign policy.By using all the resources of Egypt,i.e.its hard, soft and intelligent forces, strengthening Egypt's ability to protect its national interests and security and consolidating its role and position in the region,it means that the soft and hard forces can be combined in the best way to achieve the goal.Because Egypt is uniquely located in the heart of the world,it can benefit from its huge resources to the greatest extent. The huge population and military power,as well as soft power and its cultural model in the region, have been affecting the entire Arab world. If these resources are used properly,Egypt will become a truly great country capable of meeting regional challenges. No matter what kind of war, isolation and setbacks the country has suffered in its history,no other country or regime in the Arab or Middle East region can lead the region or replace the leadership of Egypt in the region.Since the conclusion of the peace treaty with Israel in March 1979,Egypt has faced many competitors who want to replace Egypt in the region or become a major regional power such as Saudi Arabia,Syria,Iraq,Qatar and Turkey and Iran. The primary task of all Egyptian governments should be to use the cultural, political and social heritage of Egypt to set an example based on the dramatic changes in the characteristics and society of Egypt in the past few years, especially after the two successive revolutions since the Arab Spring of 2011.As the great historian of Egypt,Gamal hemdan, mentioned in his famous book the nature of the Egyptian revolution, the revolution that Egypt has experienced can serve as an effective catalyst for the transformation and development of the country.
