With its the rapid development,network media has entered into every aspect of people's lives,and it has had an enormous influence on the production and lifestyle of urban community residents,one of the aspects is its effect on the public participation of urban community residents.Network media has became the main way for urban community residents to express their aspirations and participate in public affairs.It is significance to explore the factors of network media that affect the public participation of urban community residents,because this could improve the quality of public participation and maintain the stability and harmonious of social development in China.At first,the relevant researches were viewed,classified,summarized which on network media and public participation,and the research status and research progress were reviewed.Also,the concept of public participation of urban community residents was defined,its new characteristics in the network media environment were identified,and its theoretical basis were presented.Then,based on the literature analysis method and the case study method,148 related articles during the 10 years from 2008 to 2017 and 40 cases selected according to the data volume and heat index of the whole network during the period of 2009-2017 were studied as sample cases.The initial screening and elimination of duplication factors led to 42 online media factors affecting public participation.Through further purification and summarization,a total of 10 network media factors affecting public participation were summarized.Though further analyzes the relationship between online media factors,and obtains six key network media factors that influence the public participation of urban community residents,then adopts interview methods based on these 6 key network media factors,interviews with urban community residents,relevant research experts and network media operators,combined with existing data to draw out the problems of network media factors in the public participation of urban community residents in China.Finally,the paper proposes strategies to promote effective public participation of urban community residents in response to problems in network media factors.
