A Practical Study On Social Work Involved In Community Integration Of The Elderly In Relocated Poverty Alleviation Areas

Since the national poverty alleviation policy has been vigorously implemented,there have been many resettlement areas for poverty alleviation in less developed areas of China.Most of the residents in these resettlement areas are rural precision poverty alleviation households.They generally come from remote villages in various villages and towns in the county seat,and there is a special group among these residents-the elderly.Compared with the countryside,the living environment and production resources have been greatly improved,but at the same time,the changes brought about by the living environment,living mode and production mode have caused the community maladaptation of the elderly.This study takes the elderly in the F community in the relocation area for poverty alleviation as the research object.Through questionnaires and interviews,it is found that the elderly in the F community have the following problems: poor language communication and less opportunities for interaction;The entertainment mode is relatively single;Not familiar with community transportation routes;The overall community participation is low.The emotional support system is weak and the sense of community belonging is low.On this basis,the author takes the social work theory as the guidance,and uses the group work method and the community social work method to carry on the practical intervention.Through the development of group activities,the interpersonal communication among the elderly in the community has been further expanded,the cultural acceptance and recognition among the elderly of different nationalities have been enhanced,and the establishment of informal support networks among the elderly has been promoted.The activities enrich the elderly's life in their later years,improve their quality of life,and promote the elderly to have a closer and further understanding of community resources and routes,further improving the elderly's ability to adapt to the community environment.Through the development of community social work,while enhancing the display of local ethnic culture,it will further promote the cultivation of the elderly's confident and optimistic attitude towards life,improve the participation in community activities and enhance the quality of life in the community.In the process of participating in community activities,the elderly unite,cooperate and support each other,making the communication between the elderly peer groups closer,making more friends,promoting the development of neighborhood relations in the community,further enhancing the cohesion of the community,stimulating the vitality of the community,and effectively promoting the integration of the elderly into the community.
