An Analysis Of Legal Issues In The Protection Of Cultural Relics In China

Cultural relic resources are the precious historical witness of the long history of the Chinese civilization.China has a vast territory and many places contain various kinds of rich cultural relic resources,which embody the prominent and unique regional culture and the long-standing historical accumulation.It is our unshirkable responsibility to protect and rationally utilize the abundant cultural relic resources.At present,due to the urban modernization construction in full swing,from time to time some cultural relics resources have not been protected and are destroyed,which has attracted the attention of the state and the society.Starting from the current situation of cultural relics protection laws in China,this paper summarizes the prominent problems in the protection of cultural relics in China,such as the existing quasi-cultural relics not included in the scope of protection,the lack of public participation in the protection of cultural relics,the narrow financing channels for cultural relics protection,and the weak law enforcement force for the protection of cultural relics.Drawing on the relevant experience of Japan,Italy,France and the United Kingdom,this paper considers how to further improve the relevant laws for the protection of cultural relics in China,in order to better take effective measures to effectively protect cultural relics and improve the current situation of cultural relics protection in China,and puts forward some modest Suggestions for the improvement of the relevant laws for the protection of cultural relics.
