In 2016,Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, carried out a series of adjustments to China's policies.Unlike traditional US policy adjustment inertia of previous US administrations, the Trump administration's adjustments to China policies are comprehensive and multi-level policies which repositioned Sino-US relations. The Trump administration clearly defines China as a "competitor";in the economic field, the Trump administration pursues the principle of "America first" and launches a trade war against China;in terms of security, the Trump administration firmly believes in "strength for peace" and interferes in China's South China Sea issue and Taiwan's sovereignty issue. The adjustment of Trump's China policy has created greater uncertainty in the bilateral relationship between China and the United States and the future direction of Sino-US relations. The adjustment of Trump's China policy appeared in multiple contexts.First, there are deep changes in the ecological environment of domestic affairs in the United States, which are manifested in five aspects: intensification of the contradiction between the rich and the poor, the shrinking middle class, political polarization, the populist shock, and the spillover of political ecological changes.Secondly, the strategic anxiety of the decline of American hegemony after the 2008 economic crisis is also one of the important background factors for this adjustment. Finally, the Trump administration's policy adjustment to China is inseparable from Trump's personal“anti-establishment” ruling style and his understanding of China's strategy. The Trump administration's adjustment of China policy has multiple motivations.Based on new variables in current Sino-US relations, the trump administration changed the mode of China policy;the administration also adjust the direction of its China policy in the circumstance of its government's insistence on "introversion" and unilateralism;based on the current rise of China's strength and the US's strategic panic, the trump administration adjusts the positioning of its China policy. The adjustment of the Trump administration's China policy in is based on the deep consideration of the highlighting of the structural contradiction between China and the United States,in conjunction with the structural variables in the current contradiction between China and the United States, which results in the repositioning of its China's policy.Intuitively, the Trump administration's adjustment of China's policy is negative and antagonistic to the development of Sino-US relations, which runs counter to the construction path of the “New Type of Great Power Relationship” previously agreed by China and the United States.Secondly,Sino-US bilateral relations are one of the most important and complicated bilateral relations in the world.Sino-US bilateral relations have always maintained a staggered development of “you are in me,and I am in you”.However, under the adjustment of Trump's China policy, contradictions and differences in the bilateral relations between China and the United States have“spilled out” to multiple levels such as regional security and world economic development, which is extremely detrimental to the development of the world economy and security cooperation system. If China and the United States do not control the strategic rationality and strategic constraints on the construction of bilateral relations, the reaction of “circumfluence” between China and the United States will cause a vicious circle.Under the analysis of the Trump administration's adjustment of China policy, the paper sorted out and evaluated the various factors of the adjustment.China needs to clearly recognize the repositioning of the United States to China during the adjustment of the Trump administration's China policy and grasp the “common sense”of the development of Sino-US relations and the “new normal” of current Sino-US relations. In the long run, regardless of whether Trump is re-elected in 2020,the US perception of China has basically been finalized.China needs to play its role as a big country in the rising trend of conservatism in the international community, insist on strategic self-confidence in the construction of future Sino-US relations, and ensure the rational shaping of Sino-US relations under the premise of strategic self-confidence.
