Distribution And Prediction Of Chinese Residents' Well-being

In recent years,with the continuous improvement of people's living standards,people pay more attention to the spiritual life which beyond the material.Residents' happiness is based on the corresponding satisfaction of material and spiritual life,and it is a real response to the pursuit of rich material life.In the report of the nineteen National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the CPC Central Committee pointed out that " Let people feel more enriched,more secure and more sustainable".The well-being of Chinese residents has become the focus of the national society.How to evaluate and predict the happiness and maximize the use of resources to improve the well-being has become an urgent problem to be solved.Solving this problem can provide a good direction for social development and policy-making.This paper takes Chinese residents' happiness as the research object,based on CGSS research data,describes the distribution of well-being from the perspectives of age,gender,marriage,household registration,nationality,religious belief,education level and region;uses XGBoost algorithm to establish a two-classification prediction model to predict whether Chinese residents are happy or not;uses multiple regression to empirically analyze the economic development and economic variables for Chinese residents The impact of happiness.The results show that:(1)The average value of Chinese residents' well-being is 4.17,which is in the upper middle level,and it presents different distribution characteristics in different angles;(2)The XGBoost two-classification model provides a new machine-learning method for predicting Chinese residents' well-being,and compared with the prediction of logic regression,naive Bayes,decision tree,k-nearest neighbor,random forest and bagging,the effect is better;(3)The biggest impact on happiness is employment,followed by social security,environmental pollution,education and total imports.According to the research conclusion,some policy suggestions are put forward for reference: First,improve the quality of employment and the level of people's income,adhere to the strategy of giving priority to employment and the policy of active employment;Second,improve the construction of social security system with Chinese characteristics,expand the coverage of social security,and establish a social security system of urban-rural integration;Third,adhere to ecological civilization and green development,attach importance to the protection and construction of trees and greening,and relevant enterprises should upgrade their equipment to reduce the impact of industrial production on the environment;Fourth,develop education and culture,and improve the cultural literacy of residents;Fifth,continue to make efforts in the tertiary industry,accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the service industry,strengthen strategic emerging industries,and enhance the ability of independent innovation,so as to improve the happiness of Chinese residents.
