An Empirical Study Of The Impact Of Public Service Satisfaction On Residents' Well-Being

Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has continued to grow rapidly.Whether the rapid growth of the economy has brought about the simultaneous growth and improvement of national happiness has become a concern of the government and academia.In 2014,Jinping Xi pointed out that under the circumstances that economic development has entered the "new normal economy",improving residents' sense of well-being and gaining is an important goal of China's economy and people's livelihood development in the new era.According to past international experience,the "Eastlin paradox" is very likely to happen in China in the future.Therefore,when the government formulates public policy time,it should pay more attention to how to improve residents' happiness in the future development stage.So far,the study of public service level and residents' happiness has great practical significance and academic value.We uses the CGSS(China Social Survey)2015 microdata,uses the OLS model and the Ordered Probit model to analyze and process microdata,studies and discusses the impact of public service satisfaction on residents' well-being,and also analyzes public service satisfaction.Population distribution characteristics.The main findings of this thesis are as follows:(1)Public service satisfaction has a significant positive impact on residents' happiness,that is,the government can improve four types of public services(housing security services,medical and health services,public education services,social management services).The level gives residents a higher level of well-being;(2)the happiness of low-and middle-income people is more susceptible to public service levels.Because the middle-and low-income people have stronger dependence and lower expectations on the four categories of public services(housing security services,medical and health services,public education services,social management services),they are more susceptible to the level of public service development.(3)The impact of housing security public services on residents' happiness is far greater than the other three types of public services.Due to the scarcity and uneven distribution of urban housing resources in China,residents' demand for basic housing security public services is far greater than the demand for public education services,medical and health services and social management services.In view of this,China should speed up the construction of affordable housing,improve the housing security mechanism,build a basic publicservice system that can enhance the sense of national happiness,and increase financial input in the field of people's livelihood,thereby improving the sense of well-being and gain of urban and rural residents.
