As international trade in education services has become an important emerging industry area.Studying abroad as a major form of overseas consumption of international trade in education services has become a globally recognized emerging industry and a new economic growth point.Driven by the country's promotion of“Studying in China” to the national strategic level. The scale of foreign students that study in China has shown a rapid development trend. The maintenance and improvement of bilateral political relations have been given new significance in the context of globalization.Correctly understanding the influence of bilateral political relations on the education service trade will help China build a high-quality “Study in China” brand image.Based on the research of a large number of literates. This paper adopts three research methods: literature research, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. And uses PCSE regression to study the influence of the political relationship between China and other countries on the number of foreign students that study in China. This paper proposes three hypotheses.Hypothesis 1: The closer the bilateral political relations between China and other countries, the larger the number of foreign students studying in China.Hypothesis 2: Compared with the effect of the closeness of China's political relations with other countries from 2000 to 2012,the closeness of China's political relations with other countries from 2013 to 2018 has a greater impact on the scale of students.Hypothesis 3: China's education is more open to students from countries along the “Belt and Road”.Through empirical research,it is found that: Firstly, bilateral political relations between China and other countries can indeed affect the size of foreign students studying in China;Secondly, the impact of bilateral political relations on the size of foreign students in China is greater than the influence from 2000 to 2012.Thirdly,there are obvious national differences in the impact of bilateral political relations on different countries' students studying in China.Good bilateral political relations have played a more significant role in promoting the number of students studying in China from countries along the “Belt and Road” than non-Belt and Road.In summary. We must make full use of China's long-established international political relations to open the foreign education market. It is necessary to take advantage of platforms such as bilateral and multilateral diplomacy to actively carryout educational cooperation.Strengthen exchanges in the field of higher education service trade through diplomatic channels, and participate in cooperation and exchanges in international education service trade in a more active manner. We must promote the implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative.Accelerate the interconnection with the countries along the route.Promote education cooperation and meet the education service demand in the countries along the route.
