The popularization of Marxism is the essential requirement of Marxist theory,and it is also the objective requirement of the Chinese revolution.Because theory can only be developed and guided by the masses of the people,and only by popularization can the theory be supported by the masses.Mao Zedong's position in the process of Marxist popularization is determined by the conditions unique to this leader.Mao Zedong during the Great Revolution made outstanding contributions to promoting the popularization of Marxism in theory and practice.From a theoretical perspective,Mao Zedong clarified the purpose,basic connotation and essence of Marxist popularization on the basis of summing up the lessons of the failure of the Great Revolution,and scientifically defined the object and main content of Marxist popularization.From a practical perspective,Mao Zedong promoted the popularization of Marxism in practice through theoretical propaganda,schools,newspapers,and effective use of lively style of writing and other different ways and paths.Marxism has accumulated rich experience in ways and methods of popularization.There are four characteristics of Mao Zedong's promotion of the popularization of Marxism: combining the national conditions of China to promote the popularization of Marxism,combining the fundamental interests of the people to promote the popularization of Marxism,combining the revolutionary practice of China to promote the popularization of Marxism,and combining the excellent traditional Chinese culture to promote the popularization of Marxism.Mao Zedong's experience in promoting the popularization of Marxism has important reference significance for the popularization of Marxism in the new era.
