A Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Providing For The Aged In Urban One-child Families In China

In the early 1980 s,China began to implement the family planning policy.Up to now,the number of only children in China has reached nearly 200 million.The implementation of the family planning policy has,on the one hand,eased the contradiction between China’s population and resources,prompted changes in the concept of birth in the whole society,and controlled the population of China while changing the population structure.On the other hand,with the implementation of policies and the development of society,the problem of family care for single-child families has become increasingly prominent.In order to solve the problem of family support for the only child in urban areas in China,this paper starts from the status quo of the endowment insurance for the only child families in China and the status quo of the old-age children in some cities in China.The questionnaire survey method and in-depth interview method are used to study the only child families in Xincheng District of Xi’an.The survey on the status quo of old-age care collects the data on the status quo of the only child families in Zibo City and Anqing City.Through the analysis of the status quo,it finds out the problems of family pension for the only child in the city,and starts from five aspects: economy,concept,system,policy and society.Conducting the cause analysis,and finally put forward practical countermeasures to solve the problem of family support for the only child in the city.The content of this paper mainly includes the following aspects: first,research on the status quo at home and abroad and related research methods;second,the status quo of family support for the only child in urban areas in China;third,the problem of family support for the only child in urban areas in China;fourth,The analysis of the causes of the old-age problem of the urban one-child family in China;Fifth,the research on the pension countermeasures of the only-child families in China.Through analysis,it is found that the family with only one child in the city has unstable economic resources,high pressure on life,“deprived families”,“empty family” parents,no support for old-age policies and legal guarantees,and insufficient social organization assistance.On this basis,it puts forward the economic guarantee for the development of a perfect family pension for the only child in the city;cultivates a new concept of old-age care;the old-age policy of the urban single-child family,the innovation of the pension system and the old-age care system;and the construction of a multi-subject pension for the family,government and society.Suggestions for cooperative social assistance mechanisms and the establishment of a scientific evaluation mechanism for the endowment of single-child families.
