Research On Group Social Work To Improve The Service Ability Of Senior Volunteers

At present,the aging of the population has become a worldwide concern.All countries and regions are taking effective measures to alleviate the negative effects of aging.China is a country with a large population and a serious aging population.In view of this situation,many scholars have begun to pay attention to the elderly group.The intrinsic value of the elderly is usually realized through social participation,which is mainly reflected in the field of voluntary services.China has entered the primary development stage of voluntary service for the elderly and realized that the elderly play an irreplaceable role.However,the elderly lack professional knowledge and normative management,casual,not high enthusiasm.How to improve the service ability of elderly volunteers is the primary problem to be solved.Taking S community of Shenyang city as the carrier,the author recruited 8 elderly volunteers as the research objects,and discussed the improvement of elderly volunteer service ability by combining group social work method and social work theory.This paper adopts questionnaire survey,interview and observation method to carry out practical research.In the process of intervention,the author emphasizes the empowerment,explores the strengths and advantages of the elderly volunteers,trains them to learn professional knowledge and skills,and guides the elderly volunteers to participate in activities,aiming at improving the service ability of the elderly volunteers.Through the investigation of the service status of elderly volunteers in S community,it was found that most elderly volunteers lacked professional service skills,poor teamwork ability,imperfect reward mechanism and few service channels.By means of interview and questionnaire survey,the author concludes that the community lacks normative management mechanism,lacks volunteer service knowledge,has a strong spontaneity in activities for the elderly,and lacks publicity.Based on the four aspects,the group social work intervention is carried out.At the same time,the social work theory is applied to explore the new development mode of elderly volunteers,so as to explore the potential of the elderly,improve the sense of self-efficacy and realize their own value.And in response to the call of the state,to achieve the goal of active aging,to truly do the old,the old have fun.The author also hopes to give some inspiration to the development of the practice of voluntary service for the elderly.
