Research On Group Work Intervention In Promotion Of Service Motivation Of Elderly Volunteers

In recent years,with the innovation of social governance concept and the vigorous development of social organizations,more and more elderly people are engaged in voluntary service.However,in the actual process of voluntary activities,due to the lack of professional training and guidance,the elderly volunteers lack the motivation of sustainable participation,which to some extent hinders the sustainable development of community voluntary services.As one of the professional methods of social work,group work not only has professional ideas and methods,but also provides a platform for group members to learn and exchange.It is helpful to carry out volunteer training in the form of group work,to use professional methods,to enhance the interaction between individuals,so as to change the attitude and behavior of group members.Based on this,this study selects l community in Beibei District of Chongqing as the research field,takes the elderly volunteers in the community as the research object,and uses the group work method to carry out the practical research on the promotion of service motivation of the elderly volunteers.In order to start from the professional methods of social work,provide solutions for the lack of motivation of elderly volunteers,and promote the sustainable development of community volunteer service.This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly describes the reason of the research,literature review,research significance and research design.This research is mainly based on the following background: first,the problem of aging has arousedwidespread concern from all walks of life,and the concept of active aging has been generally recognized;second,the cultivation of elderly volunteers is an important way to achieve active aging and promote community development;third,there is a lack of Service Motivation in the practice of elderly volunteers.In the part of literature review,the research progress of the elderly volunteers in the current academic field is mainly described.From the theoretical perspective,this study focuses on the service motivation of the elderly volunteers,which enriches the relevant research in the field of geriatric sociology to a certain extent.From the practical perspective,this study is conducive to enrich the practical experience of social work involving in the construction of the volunteer team.The second part is about the current situation of the community elderly volunteers.Community L is a typical community for the elderly.The elderly volunteers are affected by many factors,and the motivation of voluntary service is generally low.The third part is the intervention process of group work.The first is to do a good job in member recruitment,needs assessment,goal establishment and other preparatory work;the second is to carry out group work,through relationship building,advantage identification,skill improvement,practical action and other links,to help team members improve the motivation of voluntary service and strengthen sustained voluntary service behavior;the last is the assessment of group work,including process assessment and result assessment.The fourth part is the summary and reflection of the practical process of group work,mainly from the group structure and group skills.The fifth part is summary and suggestion.Through the analysis and summary of the practical process and effect,this study concludes that the group work has significant effect on the motivation of elderly voluntary service,and puts forward suggestions to promote the long-term development of community voluntary service from the aspects of using multiple methods,integrating multiple resources,and creating a voluntary atmosphere.
