An Empirical Analysis Of The Death Of Chinese Public Security Police

Since China's reform and opening up 40 years ago,the public security work has made remarkable achievements under the great leadership of the Party and the state.However,in recent years,hundreds of Chinese public security police have fallen to their posts each year,giving their lives,as General Secretary Xi Jinping said: almost always bleeding,daily sacrifice.In order to better analyze the influencing factors of police martyrdom in China,based on the domestic and foreign research literature on police martyrdom,based on the theory of sociology of crime,relying on the theory of organization and management and abilityenvironmental pressure,this paper uses the provincial panel data from 2015 to 2017 and the provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government in China According to the data of the local police organs of the autonomous region who lost their lives in the line of duty,using Stata14.0 software,this paper empirically analyzes the situation of the Chinese police who lost their lives in the line of duty,and draws the following conclusions:From the point of view of the characteristics of the police who died in the line of duty: in the demographic characteristics,the age is mainly middle-aged,the university degree is the main body,and the party members are the vast majority;from the professional characteristics,the police age is about 19 years,the second-level police superintendent is the majority,the martyrdom posts are the most "investigation cases" and "police preparation ";sudden death from illness and traffic accidents become the main cause of the two major martyrs in the line of duty.From the point of view of the number of civilian police martyrs: per capita GDP and civilian police martyrs in the line of duty Positive correlation;the improvement of the quality of the public will reduce the death of the police;the regional household registration population and the number of deaths in the line of duty is negatively related.From the point of view of the type of death in the line of duty: compared with the pursuit of criminal thugs,in the professional ability,from the point of view of rank and age,the probability of death in the line of duty due to sudden death is lower than that of superintendent,and the probability of sudden death is higher.In the position environment,the safety and security category and the handling of cases are more prone to sudden death from illness,in which the proportion of police officers who perform safety and security work lost their lives in emergency situations is higher,and there is a high correlation between official duty(including commuting to and from work)and traffic accidents.In the face of the death of police officers,this paper deals with personal ability,police ability,post environment and internal and external macro-environment From the point of view of the post environment,the police should maintain moderate pressure and estimate the post risk,at the same time,the functions should be clearly divided and work pressure should be shared;from the macro-environment,the government needs to invest,such as strengthening the police health management,police car equipment and so on,at the same time,improve the national quality and strengthen the police contact.
