Research On Social Public Events From The Perspective Of Social Stability

Influenced by the wave of globalization and China's domestic reform and transformation,China is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.With the significant enhancement of China's comprehensive strength,the country's ability to deal with various risks and threats is becoming stronger.At present,China's social situation is generally stable,but through in-depth observation,due to social contradictions,social problems,Internet popularization and other factors,social public events occur frequently and have a negative impact on the current social stability.Social public events occur in the social field of our country.Its formation is not only related to the factors of contradiction and frequent conflict in the period of social transformation,but also related to the formation of the network society with the rapid development of the Internet.Social public events are often evolved from social hot events.Hot events enter the public vision through media reports.After the participation and discussion of online self media and netizens,it is easy to cause public opinion crisis,so as to generalize its social impact.The occurrence of social public events has the positive effects of public network political participation,network anti-corruption,promoting social issues,etc.,but it also has the negative effects of endangering public security,challenging the authority of the rule of law,triggering trust crisis,intensifying the contradictions between the government and the people,triggering social panic and other threats to social stability.From the perspective of maintaining social stability,in order to prevent and respond to social public events,first of all,the government should make great efforts to promote the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity,so as to eliminate the soil that breeds social public events.Specifically,it includes improving the ability of social governance,consolidating the realistic foundation for social stability;improving the working mechanism of public opinion guidance,consolidating the ideological foundation of social stability;improving the effective mechanism for dealing with the internal contradictions of the people correctly,and maintaining the authority of the rule of law.Secondly,public security organs,as the backbone of maintaining social stability,should pay attention to it,rationally respond to social public events,prevent the risk of color revolution;properly handle social public events,and explore the early warning and prevention mechanism.
