As a new manufacturing technology,3D printing is different from traditional manufacturing. It has the advantages of short production cycle, less consumption of raw materials, high precision of products, personalized production and so on.At present,3D printing technology is still in development. Therefore,it can be predicted that with the continuous development and maturity of 3D printing technology,as well as the continuous decline of 3D printer price, the era of 3D printing will come.Due to the continuous update and development of 3D printing technology,it also brings some impacts on the patent law.The contradiction between the continuous development and popularization of 3D printing technology, which is also the core element of 3D printing process. This paper is divided into five parts: the first part focuses on the purpose, significance and research methods of3 D printing technology. The second part introduces the legal issues involved in the development of 3D printing technology. This includes whether the act of providing and disseminating CAD documents constitutes patent infringement. The third part analyzes the determination of the direct infringement of the individual 3D printing act, including the nature of the individual 3D printing act and the necessity of its norms under the current legal system. At the same time, this paper analyzes the nature of 3D digital model documents. The fourth part mainly discusses the determination of patent indirect infringement in 3D printing technology. From two aspects of patent inducement infringement and patent assistance infringement. The fifth part puts forward some perfect suggestions on the application of relevant patent legal system from the perspective of 3D printing. It mainly introduces the relevant reasons for the improvement of the system,as well as the consideration of the balance of interests between 3D printing users and patentees, and the exploration of countermeasures against the background of 3D printing.
