The internationalization of higher education is a new trend with the wave of globalization,in face of this trend,colleges and universities,as an important subject of higher education,are taking a series of measures to deal with this trend.In the trend of internationalization of higher education under the influence,the Chinese government as the guide,colleges and universities as main body,take various measures to actively improve the level of internationalization development in universities,in order to improve the international competitiveness of China's higher education and international reputation,and promote the world civilization to understand each other and make progress together.Represented by nanjing university this study case,based on the internationalization of nanjing university in recent 20 years development course of study to the perspective of the research universities of China higher education internationalization trend coping behavior,based on the analysis of present situation and characteristics of nanjing university internationalization development.This research adopts the literature method and comparative research,through to the Nanjing university yearbook(1991-2013)contained in the internationalization development of data collection and analysis,from the teacher development international(teachers to leave the country,go abroad investigation,education,teaching,cooperation study number),international students(the number of foreign students,level),international cooperation(international conference,sino-foreign cooperative research institutions)and the scientific research international(teachers published in international journals(SCI and SSCI)numbers of papers),etc to internationalization development level of nanjing university were studied.Found:1,the internationalization of teacher development,Nanjing university,the number of teachers to go abroad or leave the country to participate in the exchange program showed a trend of increasing year by year,and teachers go out communication form to attend the meeting and visit,"cultural input" greater than the output of the "culture";2,international students,Nanjing university students and the characteristics of students number of countries have increased year by year,the level of the foreign students studying in "general education"is given priority to,less is "advanced education";3,the internationalization of scientific research,Nanjing university of scientific research and the average level of the internationalization level higher than similar domestic colleges and universities,and in such as Tsinghua university,Beijing university,in the comparison of the six universities internationalization of Nanjing university's scientific research is still in its disadvantage to improve;4,the internationalization of the school development strategy planning and key subject construction is not very fit.Based on the above study,and combined with the characteristics of nanjing university,this study of Nanjing university internationalization development put forward the following suggestions:1,on the ideological level,further emancipate the mind,deepen the recognition of the importance of international development in colleges and universities,2,in the concrete practice,combined with their own characteristics and broaden the channels,comprehensively promote the level of internationalization development actively,improve the internationalized development and discipline building fit;3,the administrative power of internationalized development of colleges and universities should serve more for the development of academic,on the basis of fully respect the academic strength appropriate guide and support.
