"Thumb culture" refers to this kind of common activities,habits,psychological state,thought patterns,values,it has the background of modern information technology and mobile Internet technology,while created by people who use mobile phones and other mobile devices(pad,kindle,wearable smart devices,etc.)as media to input and output information as well as meet the psychological,learning,living,working and other needs.With the popularity of information technology and development of mobile phones and other mobile devices,high school students actively integrate into and embrace the thumb culture,at the same time,the thumb culture has both positive and negative impacts on their ideological and moral qualities.This paper mainly uses literature research,questionnaire,individual interviews,observation,method of comparison,firstly define "thumb culture" and "ideological and moral qualities".Then based on the survey data and the individual interviews,analyze the impact of the thumb culture brings on high school students' ideological and moral qualities.Its positive impacts are mainly manifested in the following aspects:First,broaden the channels of information and political participation,enhance political awareness of high school students;second is to provide sufficient contexts and models for the right and wrong judgment,and promote moral socialization of high school students;third is to enrich the lives of learning,interpersonal content and methods to meet the needs of school students' mental development.The negative impacts mainly are the following aspects:First,to help the reactionary information spread,interfere high school students' political stance,provide convenience for high school students to not fulfill the moral obligation,and become one of the causes for the decline in moral qualities;Second,it directly led the high school students to rely on mobile phones,mobile phones psychological anxiety,prompt high school students develop bad habits of thinking,self-control declining;Third is to aggravate venality,utilitarianism,the doctrine of fame and gain,and other non-mainstream values,which becomes a treat to high school students'ideological and moral qualities.Comparatively analyze different groups of high school students from the point of view,the thumb culture has greater positive impacts and less negative impacts on urban and live-in-school students than the rural and live-in-school students in the ideological and moral qualities.This paper explore the reasons for the negative effects on high school students' ideological and moral qualities from internal and external,macro and micro,system and operating,hardware and software,superficial and deep contact,try to propose strategies as follows:First,attach importance to media literacy education,enhance high school students' media literacy;Second,strictly supervise removable media and the Internet information;Third is to strengthen the legal system and law enforcement;Fourth,develop" green "mobile devices and application for high school students;Fifth,strengthen ideological and moral education under the background of thumb culture;Six is to carry out a variety of campus activities,and guide high school students to keep balance of the virtual world and the real world;Seven is the teacher in charge of a class and parents cooperate closely and keep close in contact with high schools students.
