Vector has permeated inordinately in the mathematics textbooks of China's senior high school since 1970 s.Full Time Senior High School Mathematics Teaching Syllabus(Revised Edition)in 1999 has incorporated the “plane vector” formally into the middle school mathematics curriculum in our country.Then Ordinary High School Mathematics Teaching Syllabus(2002)gave a further extension of “plane vector” and added the “space vector” to the senior high school mathematics curriculum.In 2003,Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard stipulated “plane vector”was the content of compulsory 4 of senior high school mathematics while the “space vector” was the content of elective 2-1.The learning of vector has became more and more important in high school mathematics curriculum,and it is also one of the hot spots in the college entrance examination.What is the current situation of senior high school students' knowledge of plane vector? Further investigation is needed.Therefore,this study takes the plane vector of senior high school mathematics curriculum as the research object,mainly studies the following questions: 1.What is the current situation of senior high school students' plane vector learning? 2.What are the factors that affect senior high school students' plane vector learning? 3.What are the strategies to improve the senior high school students' plane vector learning?The main research methods used in this study are literature review and investigation.First,combing the existing literature,found that the research related to vector mainly focuses on the following four aspects: the understanding of the concept of vector,problem-solving of vector research,knowledge of vector teaching countermeasure research,the teaching design on the vector,and there is few research about the situation of vector learning.Secondly,the author investigates the current situation of senior high school students' plane vector learning through the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research.This study makes a quantitative survey about senior high school students' plane vector learning from five dimension,namely that the concepts of plane vector,the representation of plane vector,the properties and theorem of plane vector,the operation of plane vector andthe application of plane vector.The results show that the senior high school students have a better mastery of the concept of plane vector and can understand the palne vector with the concrete examples;Senior high school students know at least one representation of the plane vector,but the number of students who are able to write exactly the three representation is not much;Senior high school students know the basic theorem of plane vector,but they can not apply it in solving practical problems;Senior high school students can carry out the addition and subtraction and multiplication of plane vector,but errors often occur in the process of dot product;The consciousness of senior high school students' application of vector is not high.Based on the questionnaire,interviews were conducted between teachers and students.From the results of the survey,the paper analyzes the main factors that affect the vector learning of senior high school students: 1.Teachers: Teachers' teaching model and teaching methods;teachers' attention to the individual differences of students;teachers' rational use of teaching resources.2.students: Students' awareness of the application of vector;the conversion ability of students' mathematical language;the students' ability of vector drawing and operation.Finally,the author puts forward the strategies of plane vector teaching and learning.Teachers' teaching strategies: strengthen the concepts of vector teaching,highlight the essence of vector geometry;combined with a variety of teaching mode,make good use of the students' cognitive conflict;attach importance to the text analysis,depth interpretation of teaching materials;pay attention to work feedback,timely remedial teaching.Students' learning strategies: to connect with life,to strengthen the vector learning;to make good use of analogy,to consolidate vector operations,to expand ideas,to establish ideas and methods;pay attention to the process,to develop interest in learning.
