Vector theory is a bridge between geometry and algebra.Therefore,the author uses SOLO classification theory to investigate and analyze the current situation of plane vector learning and understanding level of senior high school students.Literature,test survey and interview were used in the study.In this study,the plane vector knowledge is divided into three first-level dimensions:concept,operation and application,and the second-level dimensions are subdivided.According to the level of SOLO,the self-written test papers were divided,and students from four classes(two key classes and two ordinary classes)of D Middle School in Y City were selected as formal test objects.Through the statistics and analysis of the test papers and interviews,it is found that in terms of vector concept,students at the pre-structure level and single-structure level account for 25.1%and 24%respectively,while students at the abstract level only account for 10%,indicating that most students fail to understand the freedom of vector.In linear vector operation,the first three levels of coordinate operation and algebra account for the units digit respectively,while the correlation level of coordinate operation accounts for 76.9%.The correlation level and abstraction level of algebraic operation accounted for 70.3%and 9.9%respectively,indicating that most of the students could master the two operation methods of vector linear operation well,but their performance of vector dot product operation needed to be further improved,multivariate structure and correlation level accounted for 15.4%and 7.7%respectively.In terms of vector application,19.1%and 27.9%of the students are at the level of pre-structure and singlestructure respectively,and their application ability needs further training.In terms of class types,students of key classes have a better understanding of the concept and application of vectors than those of ordinary classes.In terms of the dot product of vectors,the number of people in the key class at the correlation level is nearly three times that of the ordinary class,which indicates that the key class has a much better grasp of the dot product of vectors than the ordinary class.However,in the aspect of vector linear operation,the difference between the critical class and the ordinary class is not obvious.Vector theory is a bridge between geometry and algebra.Therefore,the author uses SOLO classification theory to investigate and analyze the current situation of plane vector learning and understanding level of senior high school students.According to the current understanding of plane vector and the analysis of interview method,the factors affecting the understanding of plane vector are as follows:(1)fuzzy relation and distinction between concepts;(2)lack of understanding of vector dot product operation;(3)Students only memorize knowledge and lack the connection with actual topics;(4)Poor conversion ability and understanding ability of text language and graphic language;(5)Fear of difficulties,lack of confidence.In view of the above influencing factors,corresponding teaching suggestions are put forward:(1)reflect the concept essence of vector and strengthen the connection and difference between concepts;(2)pay attention to the cultivation of vector dot product operation ability;(3)Strengthen the application of knowledge through training;(4)Strengthen the transformation and understanding ability of text language and graphic language;(5)Open classes to help students with learning difficulties regain confidence through cooperative learning and independent learning.
