Research And Design Of Individualized Mobile Learning Platform

Nowadays,with continuous development and rapid popularization of internet technologies,people's internet surfing tools shift from traditional desk computers to tablet computers and to mobile intelligent terminals such as smartphones.In such a context,people begin to use mobile intelligent terminals for learning to meet their increasing demand for“lifetime learning",a very popular learning concept.Therefore,the concept of "mobile learning" gradually emerges.Currently,most mobile learning platforms on the internet cannot realize direct course learning based on the mobile-client webpage version.All these platforms require learners to download APPs for mobile learning,which are developed for different versions of operating systems.However,the learning contents of these mobile APP versions are totally same as that of PC webpage versions.These platforms don't fully take into consideration uncertainties in many aspects,such as learning time and location,mobile learners are faced with.In another word,they don't provide customization service for individualized contents.Therefore,it's very necessary to design a mobile learning platform for learners that can provide them with individualized learning services.In this paper,follows aspects were taken into consideration to study and design the individualized mobile learning platform:1.Collect learners' behavioral information related to mobile learning.Through collecting and analyzing learners' information,including personal information,hobbies&interests,preferred disciplines and learning types,different learners can be classified into different types to construct similar information models for different types of learners.2.Provide learners with customization and presentation services of individualized learning contents.Learners can subscribe their individualized learning contents on the mobile learning platform.According to the learners' subscription information,the platform can recommend learning contents,which they may be interested in,to them when they login the mobile learning platform next time.3.Provide learners with individualized mobile learning content recommendations.Based on established similar information models for different types of learners and learners' customization information of individualized learning contents,individualized mobile learning content recommendations will be provided to different learners.
