Gratitude as an affective characteristics,refers to a generalized tendency to recognize and respond with a grateful emotion to people's benevolence and obtains the positive experiences and outcomes.Resilience as an ability,refers to the comprehensive ability of individuals to use various protective factors,such as family,social and external support systems,and personal characteristics.Subjective well-being is a comprehensive evaluation of cognition and affection,refers to the overall evaluation of the quality of life of an individual according to a custom standard.According to Fredrickson's broaden and build theory,base on gratitude people can broaden individual cognition and behavior,build a continuous resources,these resources are also a protective factor of individual resilience,protect the individual from difficulties and pressures,so that individuals would grow healthy,and then enhance the well-being of individuals.Previous studies have shown that gratitude,resilience and subjective well-being are closely related.However,very few studies have explored the mechanisms between those three variable.The purpose of this study is to understand the gratitude,resilience and subjective well-being of college students,and explore the relationship between gratitude and resilience and subjective well-being,and provide a theoretical explanation and new perspective for improving subjective well-being of college students in educational practice.This study is conducted by adopting the methods of literature review and measurements.500 participants were extracted randomly from Xiamen University,Xiamen University of Technology and Jimei University.The tools in this study are included the Multidimensional Gratitude Resentment and Appreciation test,The Resilience Scale of Adults and the Subjective Well Being scale.The main results are as follows:1.The level of college students' gratitude is medium to high.The average of the three dimensions is arranged in the order from high to low,respectively,the lack of deprivation,the gratitude for the natural things and the gratitude to the society.The three dimensions of gratitude of college students are more concentrated,and the degree of dispersion is not large.There are not significant differences between genders,only child or non-only child and different family incomes.2.The level of college students' resilience is medium to high.The "social resource"dimension scored the highest in the six dimensions of resilience,while the"organizational style" dimension had the lowest score.From the perspective of standard deviation,the three dimensions of College Students' resilience,"future plan","family cohesion" and "social resources" are more dispersed.There are not significant differences between genders,only child or non-only child and different family incomes.3.The college student have high level of subjective well-being,the level of positive affect is medium to high,the level of life satisfaction and negative affect are medium to low.There are not significant differences between genders,only child or non-only child and different family incomes.4.College students's Gratitude and its three dimensions(the absence of deprivation,gratitude for society,gratitude for natural things)and generall subjective well-being,life satisfaction and positive emotions were positively correlated,negatively correlated with negative emotions.The generall gratitude and its three dimensions were positively related to the resilience and its six dimensions(self perception,future plans,organizational styles,social skills,family cohesion and social resources).The resilience and its dimensions were significantly positively correlated with generall subjective well-being,life satisfaction and positive emotion,and negatively correlated with negative emotions.5.Regression analysis shows that gratitude can predict subjective well-being,gratitude can predict resilience,gratitude and resilience can predict subjective well-being.6.College students' resilience has played a fully mediating role between gratitude and general subjective well-being.Resilience has played a fully mediating role between gratitude and life satisfaction.Resilience has played a partial mediating role between gratitude and positive affect.Resilience shows no mediating role between gratitude and negative affect.
