Stability is the foundation of the development for a Country,the national identity of minorities have relations with stability and development for one Country,so it has great significance.National identity is the sense of belonging to a Country,it comes from the long-time living in one Country,and the nations can consciously safeguard the interests and honor of their own Country.Minorities are the part of the nations,the college students of minorities are the elites for the Country,so it is important to find the education paths to improve the national identity of the minorities college students.In this paper,"national identity" and "education" are the keywords,By analyzing the elements of national identity which include political identity and cultural identity,we can find three paths to improve the national identity of the minorities college students.The three paths are school education,family education and social education.Through the survey of national identity for minority college students in Shanghai,we can analyze the reasons for the problems in national identity,and give some countermeasures and Suggestions.This article is divided into five chapters,The first chapter is analying the elements of national identity.These elements includes political identity and cultural identity.For the political identity,it contains the two parts—the party identity and political systems identity.For the cultural identity,it contains four parts--the language identity,the religious identity,the cultural & history identity and the geographical identity.The second chapter is about the history of education paths for minorities' national identity,This chapter is divided into three periods.The first period is Qing dynasty,the second period is the Republic of China era,the third period is The new Republic of China era.By collating the history,we can find three paths to improve the national identity.In the third chapter,we introduce the three education paths of minorities' national identity.They are the school education path,the family education path and the social education path.In the fourth chapter,we analyze the present situation of the national identity for minorities college students in Shanghai,and find that the school education path is the main path to improve the national identity,but the school education path play more improtant role in high school stage,it has low influence in college stage.The social education path play more important role in college stage,and the family education path is ignored.The fifth chapter is about the countermeasures and Suggestions of improving the national identity for minorities college students in Shanghai.The education of national identity for the minorities college students are both the need for the social harmonious and ethnic relations' harmonious.Our country always attaches great importance to the ducation work.The national identity is a kind of sense of national consciousness,If we have clear sense of belonging to our Country,then,we can consciously defend our national sovereignty and national interests,we can fulfill the obligations of citizens.If we have strong national identity,we can unite togther to construct our Country and make our Country more and more prosperous.and we can resist the separatist forces of foreign countries.
