Huang Yufeng's Opinion On Chinese Teaching:"Man-development" Is The Foundation Of Education,and "Language-development" Is The Soul Of Education

Huang Yufeng advocates the educational model of "Man-development".He holds that a whole person shall contain "independent spirit and free thought".Hence,teachers shall be independent in spirit and transform the education concept of "Score-oriented" to"Personality-oriented".Professor Huang applies the concept of "Man-development" to the education concept of "Macro-language Teaching".Namely,teachers shall enlarge the extension of Chinese teaching and surport students'"language life" with the "fresh water"drawn from daily life so as to take advantage of the unique function of"Language-development" in Chinese teaching to fullfill the aim of education——"Man-development".Therefore,his education concept on reading essentially aims to lay a foundation for "Language-development".Teachers should encourage students to accumulate words through extensive reading of classic books to lay the groundwork for language.And teachers shall analyse the teaching materials independently and boldly add or delete some contents so as to introduce teaching resources of high quality to Chinese class.Moreover,teachers shall cultivate the students' capabilities to think and avoid limiting Chinese class in an ossified patternizing track.With view to the characteristics of texts,teachers shall lead activities of critical reading so that their students can apprehend the texts independently.Also,the assignment of reading report and model writing can connect students' capabilities of reading and writing.On the other hand,his education concept on writing aims to cultivate "Language-developing" students.He holds that teachers shall motivate students to write,awake their linguistic capabilities,respect their language characteristics,leave writing wide open to students without any limit upon thought and forms,advocate paper writing,encourage students to challenge the peak of language,and find access to publish or circulate students' works.Huang Yufeng is a scholarly teacher who extracts teaching experience for researching and assisting other Chinese teachers in promoting professionalism,that is doing research constantly,protecting students' language lives,and loving every students heart and soul in good personal ethics.
