Objective:The purpose of this study was to insight into the effects of unilateral loading on young women walking,to probe into the effects of different ways of carrying a single strap bag with loading of different weight packed in the bag on the gait.,and to provide the basis for the choice of loading conditions, the improvement of loading equipment and the prevention of injury. Methods: Ten female college students walked under four following conditions:no bag, carrying a bag over the right shoulder, carrying a bag on the right forearm, and carrying a bag by the right hand with a loading of 5%BW,10%BW and 15%BW respectively. The author used motion capture system and a Kistler 3D force plate to synchronously collect kinematic and kinetic data. Results:The increasing loading on the right side significantly increased the horizontal range of COM,the stance phase proportion of right lower limb, hip moment, knee moment and ankle moment, and significantly decreased the stride length and the vertical range of COM.The increasing loading on the right side significantly increased the angle of trunk incline forward, the angle of trunk incline left, the angle of trunk levorotation, trunk left and right leaning amplitude and trunk rotation amplitude. The increasing loading on the right side significantly increased the angle of pelvis incline forward, the angle of pelvis incline left and the pelvis back and forth leaning amplitude, and significantly decreased the angle of pelvis dextrorotation, pelvis left and right leaning amplitude and pelvis rotation amplitude. The increasing loading on the right side significantly increased right ankle varus angle, right ankle ROM in the frontal plane, the right ankle eversion moment, and significantly decreased right knee ROM in the frontal plane and right knee abduction moment. The increasing loading on the right side significantly left knee abduction moment and work and left hip abduction moment and work, and significantly decreased left knee ROM in the frontal plane; There was a significant increase in the horizontal range of COM,step width, plantar flexion moment and right hip flexion moment.Conclusion:1.With the unilateral loading, the human body increase stance phase proportion of weight-bearing side and lower limb joint moment and decrease stride length and the vertical range of COM to keep balance.2.Unilateral loading reduce the stability of the trunk, the human body increase the levorotation of the spine and keep the left leaning of the spine to keep the stability of the trunk.3.Unilateral loading can limit the amplitude of pelvis rotation and lateral tilt.4.Loading on the right side cause left lower limb joints to have more chance of injury.5.The “by-the-hand” method has the most effect on gait parameters than the other two method.
