Since the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949 and especially the reform and opening up,the female's social status in China has rapidly promoted with the increasing stronger national strength.The people's government attaches great importance to female's higher education.One of the most significant sign is that the female's education,especially the higher education opportunity as professional education,in our country opportunities continue to rise.In terms of scale,women's higher education in China has made great progress.However,the urban-rural binary opposition structure has not been weakened at the same speed with the rapid economic development.Especially under the condition of the urban-rural binary household registration system,the rural female can't always obtain the same quality higher education opportunity as the urban female due to the prejudice of cultural tradition,backward family economic and cultural level and other element restrictions.At present,the urban-rural problem in this aspects is receiving the attention of the country and increasing scholars.Therefore,in the view of the current dilemma of urban-rural differences in the female's higher education opportunity,how to break the urban-rural binary barrier in higher education opportunity and explore the related improvement path has important theoretical value and practical significance.From the perspective of educational sociology,with the research data on the higher education opportunity differences of the female students in six universities in Hangzhou from cities and countryside as the analysis sample,this paper uses comparative analysis and empirical investigation and other methods to analyze the current situation of urban and rural female's higher education opportunities,the achieved results and the existing practical problems.This paper focuses on three aspects:the theoretical basis part,which describes the rural-urban differences in higher education entrance opportunity and influencing factors and explore the theoretical connotation of the equal higher education entrance opportunity;current situation survey and predicament analysis part.In this part,based on the in-depth survey on the number of higher education entrance opportunity,entrance level and majors of the urban and rural women in the six universities in Hangzhou,reveals the achieved results of the rural-urban differences in female's higher education entrance opportunity and analyzes the existing realistic problems in the rural and urban female's higher education entrance opportunities due to different policies,economy and family education.The last part is countermeasure.Based on the realistic demands of the rural and urban differences in the female's higher education entrance opportunities and combined with the typical case,it puts forward the suggestions on improving the rural-urban differences in the female's higher education entrance opportunity from policy support system,investment in rural education,rural cultural concept and other aspects.
