Abstract: China is experiencing the progress of from eliminating education opportunity inequality lead by social ranks to differential equality promoting a great social mobility. What is more, the problems like neglect of academic compensation to disadvantaged groups generated by independent recruitment, the doubt to national preferential policy because of fabricating minority national identity, and the region differentiation of higher education entrance opportunity contributed by migration for college entrance examination are proving the importance and urgency of establishing an evaluation index of higher education entrance opportunity equality. The index is established by empirical research and factor analysis. The system is contributed by5first and10second indexes. It is used by two aspects, which are by regions and elements. At last the reasons of these elements’existence are given.The conclusions of this article are:①㏄rovincial and urban-rural differentiations are higher than national and sexual ones.②Entrance opportunity in south west is the most unequal. That in east china is the most equal. That in north china is in the middle.③ini coefficient of index in social ranks is the highest, which says it is the most unequal one.④ntrance opportunity in north china, east north, and north china are near, and that in east china, center china and west north are near.⑤The less the government appropriation for education in each province is, the bigger differences of sexuality and social rank of entrance opportunity there are.⑥he stronger the compensatory teaching idea is, the bigger differences of nationality and cities and rural of that are.⑦he less one family’s social relations’capital is, the bigger difference of child’s province of that is.. This index aims to scientifically assess the equality situation of higher education entrance opportunity and inspect the reform of recruitment policy.
