In today's era of knowledge explosion,the total amount of human knowledge is increasing exponentially.Knowledge is increasing rapidly,and it also increases the burden of people's minds.Therefore,how to effectively spread knowledge is of great importance.The study of modern cognitive psychology shows that the process of human knowledge acquisition is not a simple process of copying foreign materialized knowledge.Instead,we need to go through internal deep processing to store the information in the working memory into long-term memory,thus constructing our cognitive structure meaningfully.In the actual teaching process,for the same knowledge,we can express and present it in front of students in different ways.And the way which we present knowledge to students actually affects students' internal processing greatly.The practice of classroom teaching is carried out with different knowledge representation methods,and the teaching cases of knowledge representation are enriched and practical reflection is carried out,which provides experience and reference for the first-line teaching of knowledge representation.The empirical study takes the teaching content of "protein structure and diversity"as an example,and selects two classes with the same level to conduct teaching experiments.One class used multimedia representation to teach,and the other used model representation to teach.After that,the results of the two classes were tested by compiling the "protein structure and diversity" test questions,and the data were analyzed statistically.Through the practice research of knowledge representation in biology teaching,following conclusions are drawn:(1)the common knowledge representation methods in biology teaching mainly include textual representation,visual representation of knowledge visualization,multimedia representation,model representation,and experimental representation.(2)the same biological knowledge can be used to represent knowledge in different ways.(3)different ways of knowledge representation have different advantages and disadvantages.(4)the results of empirical studies show that the use of different knowledge representation methods in teaching does have an impact on teaching effectiveness.Aiming at the teaching content of "protein structure and diversity",the teaching effect of model representation is better than that of multimedia representation.
