The 40 th anniversary of the reform and opening up is about to be attained.During these 40 years,China's economic development has been rapidly developed. This can not be achieved without the remarkable achievements of the reform and the opening up to the outside world.Since 1978,the scale of China's import and export trade has continued to expand and the amount has continued to grow, demonstrating China's status as "the world's processing plant." However, since the reform and opening up,the wage gap represented by the income gap is also growing, whether there will be some contact between the two?More and more scholars pay attention to the issues in this field and explore the connection between them theoretically and practically. Many well-known trade theory systems have been born, including the classical trade theory, the neoclassical trade theory, the new trade theory and the new-new trade theory, all of which have their perspectives and focuses. Most scholars choose to explain the relationship between import and export trade and wage gap from a macro perspective.Based on the theoretical basis and achievements of these scholars, this paper further studies the influence of import and export trade on wage gap and its transmission mechanism from the industry level.Use real data to test it empirically. This paper firstly systematically expounds the research background and significance, then combs the domestic and foreign literature on this topic on the basis of this, and reviews it.Secondly, based on the actual data from 2001 to 2015,the author describes the status quo of import and export as well as the current situation of wage disparity, and focuses on the status of manufacturing import and export and the present situation of wage disparity in manufacturing.Thirdly, this paper expounds the impact of import and export trade on the wage gap and its transmission mechanism. The author focuses on the mechanism of technological progress, industry participation mechanism on international trade, industry scale and industry profits. Then, based on the actual data of 27 sub-industries in China's manufacturing industry from 2006 to 2015,the indicators of each variable were calculated and tested empirically to test the impact of import and export of 27 sub-sectors of manufacturing industry on the wage gap and its transmission mechanism. Finally, based on the empirical results of this paper,we put forward policy proposals to reduce the wage gap among manufacturing industries.
