In recent years,as family education flourishes,the parental education has received extensive attention.Since the infant is one of the most watched education groups,much attention should be paid to the parental education for parents of infants.Besides,the implementation of “Regulations on Promotion of Family Education in Chongqing”(the first regional law and regulation on the theme of family education),has seen a new stage of the family education,and provides an opportunity for investigating the parental education for parents of infants in the main urban area of Chongqing.On this basis,the study on parental education demands of parents of infants was carried out.This thesis contributes to investigating the parental education for parents of infants in the main urban area of Chongqing by dint of the survey questionnaire and interviews.On the basis of existing studies,“Survey Questionnaire on Parental Education Demands of Parents of Infants in Main Urban Area of Chongqing” was self-compiled.Subsequently,questionnaires were issued and collected from randomly selected parents of infants in the main urban area of Chongqing.SPSS 20.0 was used to conduct statistical analysis on the survey results of 1348 valid questionnaires.To be more specific,1348 parents of infants were divided into different groups from the perspective of the economic status,and by virtue of descriptive statistics,the chi-square test,the variance analysis,analyses on education demands of parents of infants in different economic status were carried out combined with interview results of parents of 6 infants.The results show that,firstly,the current situation of parental education demands of parents of infants in the main urban area of Chongqing is the high demand for parental education for parents of infants,an imbalance in parental education demands of parents of infants,and a change in the concern of parental education demands.Secondly,there are significant differences in the mode and content of parental education for parents with different socio-economic status.Based on the current situation of parental education as well as the different parental education demands of parents of infants with different socioeconomic status,the suggestions of parental education will be proposed from perspectives of system andoperation,including establishing parental education support system and respecting differences in parental education demands.
