General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the national education conference that "Family,school,the government and society all have the responsibility to run education well".School,family and society are not isolated educational "islands",but should be a trinity,collaborative interaction "Ring island".Nowadays,the country also attaches more and more importance to the children education.And,Mathematics is an important subject in the basic education.junior middle school students' mathematics engagement is not only an important factor that affects junior middle school students' mathematics learning performance,but also an effective index to measure junior middle school students' learning quality.This study explores the effects of family factors in education on mathematics engagement of junior middle school students and selects three Variables of family factors:family socioeconomic status,parental educational expectation and parental educational involvement to explore the effects of family socioeconomic status,parental educational expectation and parental educational involvement on mathematics engagement of junior middle school students and its mechanism.mainly studies the following three questions:1)The present situation of junior middle school students' mathematics engagement;2)Study whether family economic status,parental educational expectation and parental educational involvement can directly predict junior middle school students' mathematics engagement Under the condition of controlling demographics factors(sex,grade,residence)separately;3)Whether family socioeconomic status can influence junior middle school students' mathematics engagementt through parental educational expectation and parental educational involvement.In this study,a total of 816 valid questionnaires collects from 10 middle school in Wanzhou and Dadukou District districts of Chongqing are analyzed by descriptive statistics,hierarchical regression analysis and path analysis.The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1)the junior middle school students' mathematics engagement is above the middle level;2)family socioeconomic status,parental educational expectation,parental educational investment are significantly correlated with mathematics engagement,and all of them have significant positive influence on junior high school students' mathematics engagement under the condition of controlling demographics factors(sex,grade,residence).3)family socioeconomic status can indirectly influence junior high school students' mathematics engagement through the mediating role of parental educational involvement,and can also influence mathematics engagement through the chain role of parental educational expectation and parental educational involvement,but can not influence mathematics engagement through the mediating role of parental educational expectation.After that,according to the conclusion of this study,suggestions are made from the parents level and the school level to effectively improve the quality of junior middle school mathematics engagement,provide a theoretical basis for further family education and provide some suggestions for parents to educate their children.Then,this study has been reviewed to find the shortcomings and look forward to the future research.
