The primary characteristics of primary school students with mathematics learning difficulties are normal intelligence,but their mathematics achievements are backward,and mathematics learning difficulties are not caused by physical obstacles or social circumstances.Many studies have shown that they have great difficulty in solving word problems that fully reflect mathematics ability,the strategy of combination of number and shape has an effect on mathematics learning in ordinary schools.Therefore,this study tries to apply the strategy of combination of number and shape to the word problem of primary school students with mathematics learning difficulties and adopts a case-by-case approach to the teaching intervention of two students with primary school mathematics learning difficulties.The purpose of this study is to investigate its effects on mathematics word problem solving scores after primary school student with mathematics learning difficulties receive a strategy of combination of number and chart.The research used a single test experimental method of cross-testing multiple baselines,interviews,and observations.The subjects are two sixth-grade students with mathematics difficulty learning in an elementary school.The independent variables are the combination of number and shape strategies.The dependent variables are the acquisition status of the number and shape combination strategies and the problem solving scores of the mathematics word problems.The study is divided into three periods:baseline(A),intervention(B),and maintenance(Al).The results of this study are visually analyzed and combine with interviews to establish social validity,the final results is as follows:1.After two students with mathematics learning difficulties received the teaching of combination of number and shape strategies,the number of learning scores of the combinational strategies of numbers and shape increased.2.After removing the teaching of the number-form combination strategy,the learning scores of the number-shaped combination strategy of the two mathematics learning difficulties participants still have a certain maintenance effect.3.After two students with mathematics learning difficulties received the teaching of the combination of number and shape strategy,the problem-solving scores in solving mathematics word problems have increased.4.After removing the teaching of the number and shape combination strategy,the problem solving scores in mathematics application problems of the two mathematics learning difficulties still have a certain maintenance effect.5.Both the participants and the teachers and parents agreed that the combination of number and shape strategy has a positive effect on the ability to solve problems in primary school students with mathematics learning difficulty,and they have shown a positive attitude to this study.
