An Inquiry Into Effective Use Of Number Shape Union Thinking In Mathematics Teaching Of Senior High

Traditional mathematics teachings vary greatly but all of those belong to modes of thinking in mathematics .Teaching and learning focuses on the training of mathematics thinking. At the time of the basic curriculum reform, it is necessary to carry out the teaching of mathematics thinking in senior high schools considering the reality of maths teaching.The two fundamental concepts are shape and number, the thinking of which is not only a key teaching point, but also an important mode of thinking in mathematics. It is effective to improve students'ability to solve problems that teachers pay attention to training number shape union thinking of students and the thinking that number and form always go hand in hand.In the past mathematics teaching many lecturers including me used shape union thinking to solve problems but students solving processes and skills were not as expected. After reading so much about teaching theory , analysing features of mathematics itself and combining the achievements that have been made with my own teaching practice. I state the principles and processes of number shape union thinking. When we solve problems using number shape union thinking, we have to pay special attention to the veracity, integrity, existence and equivalence of figures, for only the veracity of form can serve number well , and consequently we can use number shape union thinking exactly.Symbolic-graphic combination is not a tool but kind of thinking. This article is to help strengthen the learning and understanding of mathematics thinking and further more to improve students'solving skills ,connected with the thinking of shape and figure .As a result ,students can understand more because of the thingking above and in the meanwhile this is a reference for mathematics reform.
