Cognitive Strategy is a skill which is organized internally for the learners to guide their attention,learning,memory and thinking in order to achieve their more efficient learning.There are two aspects of its basic function:One is to carry on the effective processing arrangement to the information.The other one is the system storage of classifying information.Cognitive Strategy is the core of learning strategy and plays an important role in the process of learning.Combining Cognitive Strategies with high school mathematics,this paper makes a deep study on the use of Cognitive Strategy in the process of senior high school students' mathematics learning.The paper also explores the characteristics and problems of students' Cognitive Strategies in mathematics,and puts forward some suggestions on teachers' teaching in the light of specific problems,which can help teachers to cultivate students' mathematics Cognitive Strategies consciously and improve students' level of mathematics Cognitive Strategies.Based on the questionnaire compiled on the psychological characteristics of mathematics learning strategy,which was compiled and revised before,this study selected items related to mathematics cognitive strategy to be revised,and made research tools.269 senior high school students from Grade one to Grade three were selected from one senior high school of Lanzhou as the research object,the questionnaire is sent out and investigated.The following conclusions are drawn by processing and analyzing the data with Excel 2016 and SPSS21.0.1.The development characteristics of mathematics cognitive strategies of general senior high school students are embodied in the following four aspects: Mathematical Cognitive Strategies show obvious individual differences;The Cognitive strategies of mathematics decrease with the increase of grade;Mathematics Cognitive Strategies show that boys are higher than girls in gender;There is a significant positive correlation between Metacognitive Strategies and Cognitive Strategies.2.The general senior high school students have the following problems in Mathematical Cognitive Strategies: There is a lot of blindness in the use of Retelling Strategies;The level of Elaborative Strategy is obviously different;The application consciousness of Organization Strategy is weak.In view of the above problems,the following suggestions are put forward to help teachers develop students' Cognitive Strategies of mathematics in the course of teaching: Enhance students' understanding of mathematics Cognitive Strategies;Strengthen guidance to students' Retelling Strategy;Strengthen the penetration of Elaboration Strategy;Urge students to sum up and sort out what they have learned in time;Strengthen the cultivation of students' Metacognitive Strategy.
