Reading is the main form of self-study and reading ability is the core of self-study ability.Only by mastering certain reading strategies and possessing good mathematics reading ability can students achieve the goal of lifelong education.Education is for all students.Cognitive style is an important factor in students' personality differences.Does the difference in cognitive style affect students' mathematics reading level in a certain extent? This article will specifically focus on the impact of cognitive style on students' mathematics learning link-mathematics reading,which has certain theoretical and practical value.This article selects senior two students from a general high school in Jiangsu Province as the research object.Based on the full reading of relevant literature,the "Mathematics Reading Test Paper" is compiled and the "Mosaic Pattern Test Paper" compiled by the Psychology Development Center of Beijing Normal University is used.The status quo and differences of students' cognitive style and mathematics reading level,as well as the impact of cognitive style on mathematics reading level,are studied.The main conclusions are drawn as follows through investigation and statistical analysis:(1)The overall mathematics reading level of high school students is relatively low.Students perform best in the character encoding dimension,and there are significant differences in mathematics reading levels among students in liberal arts and sciences and at different levels of classes.(2)The overall cognitive style of high school students tends to be field-independent.There are significant differences in the cognitive styles of students of liberal arts and sciences and different class levels.(3)Cognitive style and mathematics reading ability are generally positively correlated and are also positively correlated with cognitive style in the three sub-dimensions,but the correlation coefficients are different.(4)There are significant differences in the mathematics reading level of students with different cognitive styles.The specific performance is: the more independent the cognitive style,the higher the mathematics reading level.Through observation and investigation and research,it is found that the mathematics reading level of high school students is generally low.Taking into account the impact of cognitive style on the mathematics reading level of high school students,in order to improve the mathematics reading level of students with different cognitive styles,this article discusses both students and teachers.Consider putting forward effective teaching suggestions.First,design different reading teaching dialogues based on students' cognitive style;secondly,conduct different reading practice guidance based on students' cognitive style;finally,adopt diversified teaching organization forms and methods according to the differences in students' cognitive styles.
