What puzzled many Chinese teachers has always been the issue of improving students' Chinese learning proficiency.In the traditional Chinese education,learning is only confined to the narrow classroom,in which the purpose of learning is achieved mainly by teacher's lecturing.The real-time education in the classroom is undoubtedly a quick and effective way to generate and deliver the knowledge.However,the Chinese subject is not only an instrumental discipline,but also a discipline with humanism and aesthetics,which pursues long-term cultural and aesthetics immersion and emphasizes the comprehensive development in both students' learning and moral quality.Therefore,as for students' spiritual construction and ability cultivation,Chinese classroom teaching alone cannot efficiently meet the needs of enhancing students' learning ability and improving their language proficiency.Through drawing experience from typical teaching practices home and abroad as well as previous studies on environment psychology and ecology of education,the author finds that the campus natural environment can be an important and effective element in students' Chinese learning process.On the one hand,the campus natural environment would create a pleasant and harmonious atmosphere,which is beneficial to students' physical and emotional development as well as the build-up of their character and integrity.On the other hand,the campus is the place where beautiful objects and images merge.It provides students with lively aesthetic images,exerting great influence on cultivating students' abilities in observation,aesthetics and imagination and finally enlightening students in terms of creativity and thinking pattern.Academia has already paid much attention to the effects of campus environment on students,but little attention has been paid to the relationship between campus environment and students' Chinese language learning.Therefore,this paper serves as an attempt to explore the relationship.It not only requires Chinese teachers to be possessed with extensive theoretical knowledge,but also be supported with reasonable mythologies.What's more,they should combine them organically during their teaching practice.The awareness of maintaining a harmonious relationship between campus environment and students' Chinese language learning is of great significance in improving teaching efficiency,promoting curriculum reform,benefiting students' Chinese language learning as well as their physical and mental development.
