PanGuangdan(1899—1967),who was a famous sociologist,educator,was erudite,informed and had a thorough knowledge of both western and traditional Chinese medicine.He studied very diligently and made much research in many fields like biology sociology,education,talents and so on.In modern times,the Chinese nation was beset with crisis and shortage of talents,Pan Guangdan was just concerned about the future of mankind,and proposed the means to achieve the goal of superior growth.And he thought that talent is the backbone of China’s great country.Pan Guangdan’s educational thoughts of talents focused on the analyses of the heredity,selection,elimination,education,self-improvement and ascension of talents.The talents,who are selected from eugenics,needs further education and self improvement,so as to achieve the standard or a higher level of talents required by Chinese society or the development process of the whole nation.Based on the fine tradition of Chinese culture,he drew on the achievements of modern science and strove to make the past ideal become the reality of the future.This is his strong evangelistic eugenics theory which aims to improve the quality of people through individuals’ self-improvement and social cultivation,thereby making the human kind out of the present selfish world with the wars not extinguishing.Since then,the quality of the population is increasing day by day,talents and our society are combinating better and better,our society becomes more and more flourish.
