Study On The Location Factors Of Rural Residents' Non-agricultural Economic Activities From The Perspective Of Income

Currently,the average income of households engaging in agricultural operation is far below that earned from the second and third industries in cities and towns.The research on locations of non-agricultural economic activities of households helps guiding households to return to hometown for employment through adjusting influence factors and indirectly increasing the possibility for labor force in appropriate age engaging agricultural production activities,so as to ensure the stabilization of agricultural production.Besides,due to the demands of rural areas and urban areas for labor force are different in different developing situation,the research on influence factors of locations of non-agricultural economic activities of households gives a practical suggestion for reference for migration of population.Basing on the personal data and family data of households engaging agricultural production activities and connecting with interview with village government,this paper surveys 15 villages in Xianyang City and explores the influence factors of locations of non-agricultural economic activities of households at different income level through geodetector and logistic regression model.The results are as follows:(1)The majority of the labor force in Xianyang has chosen to engage in non-agricultural economic activities locally,and the most employment places are cities,provincial capital citiest and municipalities directly under the central government.The two areas of non-agricultural economic activities with the most labor force are Xianyang and Xiaan.The distance between home and employment place of labor force among 0~10km is 34.45%,and the distance within the range of 10~70km is 51.52%.The distance with the range of 70~100km is only 0.91%.The migrant workers' employment places are 100 km far away from home accounting for 13.11% of the total sample.As the way of life and the salary of the urban areas have great attraction to the rural labor force,the proportion of the labor force engaged in non-agricultural economic activities in cities,provincial capital cities or municipalities directly under the central government is as high as 51.52%.The employment place with the second highest proportion of labor force is rural area,with ratio of 22.41%.Shanxi is the most important work area for rural labor in Xianyang with a total ratio of 88.57%.The proportion of labor force who works in Xianyang is 59.76%,and 25.76% in Xi'an.Other province with the highest ratio of labor is Guangdong,which is 2.90%.(2)There are differences in the distance of non-agricultural economic activities,the location and the regional level of labor force of different income.The sensitivity of rural labor force to the factors of non-agricultural economic activities' location is diverse while income is different.In terms of distance: the age(0.0997)has the strongest effect in samples with the grade of 0.00~0.25.The total family population(0.0601)has the strongest effect in samples with the grade of 0.25~0.50.The effect of age(0.0766)is much higher than other factors in samples with the grade of 0.50~0.75.The per capita GDP of village(0.1103)has the strongest effect in samples with the grade of 0.75~1.00;In terms of work region: the most influential factors of Xianyang / Xi'an / other areas of samples with the grade of 0.00~0.25 are average annual income(-46.954)/ amount of Administrative personnel in family(22.189)/ average annual income(20.050).The most influential factors of samples with the grade of 0.25~0.50 are family type(-17.225)/ per capita area of house used for business purposes(-62.663)/ original value of durable consumer goods(-227.328).The most influential factors of samples with the grade of 0.50~0.75 are age(5.214)/ age(3.712)/ age(-8.925)respectively.The most influential factors of samples with the grade of 0.75~1.00 are per capita area of house used for business purposes(38.437)/ average annual income(-39.134)/ average annual income(39.540);In terms of level of the employment place: the most influential factors in the grade of 0.00~0.25 of village / town / county town / county level / prefecture-level city and provincial capital are the amount of labor force(-7.728)/ average annual income(-12.597)/ the per capita GDP of village(-19.796)/ average annual income(33.869).The most influential factors in the grade of 0.25~0.50 are expenditure of social relations(2.602)/ the original value of durable consumer goods(3.433)/ the distance of village to the nearest road(0.877)/ family members' education(1.884).The most influential factors in the grade of 0.50~0.75 are marital status(4.431)/ agricultural infrastructure satisfaction of village(-10.465)/ family members' education(2.576)/ family members' education(3.983).The most influential factors in the grade of 0.75~1.00 are the sub traffic condition satisfaction of village(-4.702)/ age(7.904)/ cultivated land area of per capita(4.307)/ family members' education(5.197).
