Objectives:Compared with the traditional Moderate-intensity Continuous Training?MCT?,HIIT only need a relatively short time, and it is more economical and efficient to attract more and more public attention.Previous studies have shown that HIIT can effectively reduce the fasting blood glucose and insulin resistance index of people with diabetes and improve heart and lung function in heart patients. This study researches the effect of HIIT on glucose metabolism and insulin resistance in ordinary college students and compares it with MCT to provide a scientific basis for promotion of HIIT in the general public and prevention of metabolic diseases. Methods:Through a number of questionnaires on physical activity surveys and health risk screening recruited 18 normal male college students to get eligible for the experiment.Informing the selected subjects of the contents of the study and signing informed consent. All were randomly divided into A and B groups.9 subjects in group A performed eight-week high-intensity interval training,9 subjects in group B performed eight-week endurance training in moderate intensity, and treadmill running was selected as the exercise method. The specific training requirement was that group A exercised with 90%VO2max for 3 minutes following 2 minutes intermittent at a speed of 40%VO2max total of 30 minutes, three times a week, for eight weeks of exercise. In group B,exercise 60%VO2max for 30 minutes, three times a week, and exercise for eight weeks.5 milliliters of fasting blood was collected before and after intervention, and 1hours of gas metabolism monitoring was performed for the first time. Before exercise,5 milliliters of venous blood was taken immediately after exercise and 30 minutes after exercise. The subject's blood glucose was measured by the electrochemical method, the subject's insulin was measured by the immunological method, and the subject's body fat percentage was measured by the dual energy X-ray absorptiometry.SPSS18.0 statistical analysis software was used to process the data. The test results were expressed as meanąstandard deviation.Covariance analysis and paired-sample T test were used to compare the effects before and after the intervention in different groups. The independent sample T test was used to compare test results between different groups. And the significance level was P<.05.Results:After eight weeks of intervention with HIIT,the subjects had decreased fasting insulin?FINS?,fasting blood glucose?FBG?,insulin resistance index?HOMAIR?,and reduced insulin secretion index, and the insulin sensitivity index?ISI?was significantly higher. However, there was no significant change in the MCT group;in the whole process of 30 minutes of exercise monitoring, and 60minutes of total training, the amount of sugar oxidation in the HIIT group, the energy supply of sugar And the total energy consumption was significantly higher than that of the MCT group. Conclusion:The effect of high-intensity interval training on body composition, fasting blood glucose and insulin sensitivity of ordinary college students showed a trend of benign, while moderate intensity of endurance training could not produce this benign change. Therefore,we recommend normal healthy adults to perform high-intensity intermittent exercise at the same exercise time.
